They are made from whole grains, with only the outer husk removed before the groats are cut into pieces. When cooked, Pinhead oatmeal produces a hearty and nutty porridge with a robust flavour. It is a common practice to soak the oatmeal overnight. Pinhead is also an excellent option for enhancing the texture and nutritional value of soups, stews, and haggis. It can be used as a topping for pies, puddings, and crumbles, or as a coating for fish and meat before cooking.
