Hogarth’s Scottish Porridge Oats are the most popular way to make porridge. Our flavour-enhanced porridge oats are only made with Scottish oats by traditional milling methods. Giving a delicious taste and creamy porridge. Oatflakes are oats which have been cooked steamed rolled and baked, so they will cook very quickly. This food is extremely versatile, and it can be found in a range of recipes and has an assortment of uses. It is a very healthy and useful addition to our diet, thanks to its high nutritional value.
Some people like to use oatflakes as a breakfast cereal, heating them and mixing them with an assortment of ingredients. They can also be added to baked goods like scones, muffins, cookies, and bread, creating additional texture and adding to the nutritional value of these foods. Some people also mix them in with granola, muesli, and other cold breakfast cereal mixes. Oatflakes can also be added to pancakes. Technically, oatflakes can be eaten straight out of the box, although they may not be very exciting in this form.

1st tried these oat at a cafe in Lagan, West Highlands, creamiest oats I’ve ever had. Travelling in the Borders area Hogarth’s was at the top of my shopping list. For a family of 2 pots for porridge, each morning, one salt and water, the other milk then sugar or syrup added, only one required now due to the creaminess of the oats. Cook equally well on hob or microwave, or left overnight in the fridge with yogurt and fruit.
