Organic Pinhead Oatmeal or Steel Cut Oats are considered the oldest and most traditional types of oatmeal. They are made from whole grains, with only the outer husk removed before the groats are cut into pieces. When cooked, Pinhead oatmeal produces a hearty and nutty porridge with a robust flavour. It is a common practice to soak the oatmeal overnight. Pinhead is also an excellent option for enhancing the texture and nutritional value of soups, stews, and haggis. It can be used as a topping for pies, puddings, and crumbles, or as a coating for fish and meat before cooking.
