The milling process is addressed in our HACCP food safety study. Highly trained key members of staff regularly monitor critical control points. The grain runs over a pre cleaner at intake. Gravity separators remove any dense material .Hi tech colour sorting equipment removes any discoloured grains or particles, indented cylinders, discs and screens separate and size the material. Finally magnets and metal detectors remove any tramp metal. After further drying through rotary steam tubes we begin the milling process. After shelling the grain or groat it can be used as it is or further milled / rolled.
